Sometimes it’s the simple things.
The things we think are too little to make a difference.
We’ve had the bloodwork done and nothing shows.
We’ve tried the supplements and medications and gut-healing diets.
We’ve done the “big” things and still feel stuck.
But sometimes the little things are what work.
Like I finally got some blue-light blocking glasses, even though my screens all block it from sunset on and I turn them off an hour before bed and my sleep has already improved.
And I finally started taking a certain vitamin I’d brushed off for a while and what was borderline PMDD is now barely PMS.
I’m still waiting to make sure it’s not a fluke. But it feels good after a long while of trying lots of “big” things.

Don’t discount the small things.
Get some sunshine.
Go for a walk.
Take a nap.
Break a sweat.
Talk to a friend.
Read a Psalm.
Say an honest prayer.
Swap junk food for a nutritious snack.
Try that vitamin.
It won’t always work.
But it is always worth a try.
